Cupping is a painless method that uses glass cups to create a suction on the skin. This action stimulates acupuncture points, or larger areas of the body.
It lift connective tissue and increase blood and lymph flow to the skin and muscles. This method draws toxic material to the surface, so as the body can more readily eliminate it and restore healthy circulation. It can leave reddish patches on the skin, which aren’t painful, but not all cupping results in redness.
Typically, cups are left on for 10 to 20 minutes and several cups can be used in one treatment.
Cupping can be apply along with acupuncture, or on its own. It can be very effective for muscular pain, trauma and when use within the first onset of a common cold, it can prevent it from progressing.
